Disaster Management

DIET Interventions

As we know that Govt. of India has bought an act in 2005 related to disaster management. Before this the thinkable strategy was simply what to do after disaster? But when this act came in to power, we have to measure or to focus not only upon the strategy after disaster but also to measure our preventive or curative vision against any disaster and to work in capacity building of the masses.

To sensitize about preventive measures against any disaster, our teachers and students are the pioneer source to disseminate this message practically up to the masses of remote areas. Objectives:-

  • Reducing the damage, death, sufferings and destruction of any natural and human induced disaster.
  • Giving protection to victims and increasing strength among people to survive against disaster.
  • Building up capacity in every sector like individual, social, economic , environmental, national and international.
  • To inculcate the sense of responsibility to tackle any disaster.
  • To encourage every institution to have their own disaster management plan.

View of DIET working:-
